If you're interested in joining us...
Here's some information you'll need to know.

No auditions...
We don't run formal auditions as we're an amateur choir, and we know it can be off-putting to go through an audition process.

Harmonies...
We are however a choir that enjoys the challenge of harmony singing, and we take our time to learn songs. Our songs are arranged by Dave Cooke, a Grammy-nominated arranger, and professional jazz singer Heather Simmons. There are four-parts - soprano, mezzo, alto and baritone (sometimes split into baritone and tenor).

Do I need to be able to read sheet music?
No! All of our members learn in different ways. Some read music, others learn by ear using the CDs or downloads. Our members sing in tune, and learn to develop their vocal technique with us. We have a lot of fun together and help each other out. Having said that, it's worth pointing out that if you would prefer easier songs to sing, and would like to sing the melody most of the time we are unlikely to be the choir for you.

Come along!
The best way to know if we're what you're looking for is to come along and meet us. We're very friendly, and all the members are helpful. We rehearse on a Tuesday in Leigh and on a Thursday in Hadleigh. Check out our individual pages for further details of each rehearsal night.

Cost...
The first session is free and if you'd like to continue, we charge £7 per week, which can be paid weekly or monthly via standing order.

We realise that people have other commitments, so we understand that members can't come every week although most of our members actually do! So please don't feel that if you have to miss a session, this automatically excludes you.

Resources...
We provide digital downloads and CDs of arrangements for you to practice at home, along with printed sheet music. Physical resources are charged at £1 each, digital downloads are included in your membership fee.

We really look forward to seeing you. Thank you for reading about us. Please call to chat or email us if you have any questions.
